What is Graduate Vacancy Partnership?
Graduate Vacancy Partnership (GVP) is a collaboration between Careers Services in the partner Universities in the North West of England. GVP is a service to employers, graduates and Universities in the North West to help make the recruitment of talented students and graduates as simple as possible. GVP is committed to providing this service free of charge.
The partnership gives organisations free access to the students and graduates of all member Universities with one advertisement. It therefore provides our students and graduates with a greater choice of work opportunities.
Our partners
GVP will accept adverts for the following types of opportunity:
Permanent vacancies for people who have completed their University studies within the last three years. These vacancies can be for any type of work, but must be of an appropriate level (i.e. where a degree or equivalent qualification is an essential requirement for the job).
Work experience for students. This can consist of:
Industrial placements – these will be for current students and will be for a minimum of 6 months duration and a maximum of 12 months and will form a part of the student’s course of study
Projects – these will be suitable for students to undertake as an integral part of their courses and will be paid
Other placements – these will be short term, paid work experience placements suitable for students or graduates.
To advertise a vacancy via GVP, simply fill in the attached form; if you need help/advice with the form, contact the partner institution nearest to you.
Please note:
GVP aims to advertise all vacancies it receives efficiently and accurately. However, in its duty of care to students/graduates of the member Universities of GVP and with the need to abide by current legislation, members of GVP are under no obligation to process or promote vacancies supplied by employers / organisations that are in any way unsuitable.
All vacancies must be in line with current employment legislation and current equality and diversity legislation. A full set of guidelines about the type of vacancies that will not be promoted, are available here.
Recruitment Agencies: please note
Advertisements from recruitment agencies will be accepted ONLY if the name and location of the company they are recruiting for is revealed in the advert.
